Karbala Lawyers Discuss Land Allocation Mechanism
Sunday morning, a number of Karbala lawyers met at the lawyers chamber to discuss allocation of lands by the goverment.
Maki Abdulwahid, Chair of Lawyers Commissioning Chamber, said it is necessary that the local government and relevant bodies clarify whether there are lands really or not.
Abdulwahid called upon government authorities to issue written decisions regarding land allocation rather than oral ones, as decisions put down in black and white have a stronger effect and are a sign of seriousness and the desire to collaborate.
Furthermore, Mr. Abdulwahid stressed that relevant authorities should not enrich a certain class at the expense of another, that allocation should be made on the basis of entitlement by law, and that nepotism should not be allowed to play a role.
A number of the lawyers attending the meeting said that relevant authorities should not only make promises without keeping them and should show sincerity when dealing with lawyers.
